SHMETHICS: The House yesterday shelved a GOP proposal to reform the ethics rules of the chamber (AP, Globe). Off to the Rules Committee it goes.

TUITION: Gov. Patrick made a surprise visit to a State House hearing yesterday to urge the panel to adopt in-state tuition prices for illegal immigrants. Contrary to some reports, no one was injured at the hearing. (Sun, Globe, AP)
