Romney wins in Iowa by 8 votes – L.G. Murray crash data revelations: 108mph, asleep at the wheel – MBTA fare hike plan

FIRST BLOOD: Mitt Romney won the Iowa caucuses last night by just eight votes and is on track to roll on into New Hampshire with quite a head of steam. Now, some would credit his message or the GOP’s desire for a candidate that can effectively take on President Obama in the general, but we know what really put him over the edge. Also, have you seen this map? Even Iowa has elite coasts and fly-over-country.

LT. CRASH: State Police released the "black box" data on Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray’s November car crash and some of the details from his initial statement don’t jive with the new info. The biggest revelation, one that Murray himself says he now believes, is that the L.G. was asleep at the wheel when his state-issued vehicle accelerated to 108 mph before crashing and flipping. The Herald isn’t buying this version of events either, going so far as to issue an emergency "Howie Alert" banner yesterday afternoon.
